Thanks to app integration and webhooks, you can link your ticket buyers to your contact lists on Mailchimp in just a few minutes. The special feature here is that every new ticket buyer is automatically added to the list! This means that your contact lists are continuously updated and you can inform your ticket buyers about new events, highlights and other information with minimal effort. Here we show you how you can create this link in just a few steps.
That's how it works!
1. log in to the TICKETINO Cockpit with your organizer login data.
2. click on “Apps” on the left and select the option “Mailchimp” by clicking on “Details”.
3. in the next step, you must activate the app by clicking on “Install app now”.
4. now you need to register with Mailchimp. If you have not yet created an account, you can create one using these instructions.
5. once you have logged in, click on “Segments” under “Target group” and create a new segment if required by clicking on “New subscribers”.
6. Click on “Check segment” and then enter a name for your segment. This is only visible internally.
7. Now click on your account settings at the top right and then on “Profile”.
8. Under “Extras” select “API key”
9. Then click on “Generate key” and name it.
10. Once you have generated the key, copy the code displayed and then click on “Done”.
11. Now paste the copied code (the API key) into the “API Key” field in your TICKETINO Cockpit.
12. Then define the Mailchimp data center under “Configuration”. You can usually recognize this in the API key. In our case the last 4 characters (us13). By clicking on “Check API key”, you can see whether the settings have been made correctly.
13) Now you can define which list you want to assign the contacts to (see the segment created in Mailchimp under point 5).
14. Finally, you can click on “Update configuration” and finish the process. New order data (email address, surname, first name) should now be synchronized with Mailchimp. Please note that it takes approx. 10 minutes for order data to be visible in the Mailchimp segment.
