Custom Solution WOW Museum

White label ticket shop, cross-selling with discounts, marketing automation, group bookings, etc.

Starting point OR challenge

WOW is not just about looking. In the heart of Zurich, visitors themselves become the highlight of optical illusions! Whether in the museum or on the city rally through the city center.

The museum's floor space is quite manageable at around 400 square meters. In addition, the aim is for visitors to be able to interact with the installations at their leisure. The latter also applies to the city rally, so in both cases it is essential to manage visitor flow optimally and ensure even utilization.

Among other things, a customized ticketing solution was implemented with an event calendar, time slot booking, cross-selling with the associated “WOW Rally,” and connection to various third-party systems such as Zapier, Mailchimp, and Mandrill for marketing automation.

White Label Ticketshop inkl. Slotbooking & Cross-Selling

In addition to the box office, tickets are sold via a white label shop with various special features. Ticket buyers can access the shop via a calendar view. After selecting a date, main slots of one hour open up. Bookings are then made in sub-slots of 30 minutes. This ensures that all visitors can interact with the installations and take photos without crowding or waiting.

The ticket shop has a complex discount logic. This is particularly evident in cross-selling with the WOW Rally. If the customer books both together, they benefit from a 20% discount. The system then generates reduced tickets for the museum and reduced tickets for the city rally in a slot following the museum visit.

As is usual with white label ticket shops, the entire checkout process is branded. Tickets for the museum are issued as normal Print@Home or mobile tickets. For the city rally, the customer receives a QR code that can be scanned with a mobile phone to open the rally's web application. Find out more about the WOW City Rally here.

Group booking logic (in progress)

In addition to regular visitors, the WOW Museum is also popular with groups such as school classes. This brings with it special requirements. For example, a higher number of tickets must be booked than the time slots alone allow. It must be possible to book additional services such as guides, etc. It must be possible to continuously adjust the number of tickets in an order. Orders are usually only paid for after the museum visit, etc.
