Starting point OR challenge

With around 75,000 visitors, 350 exhibitors, and an exhibition area of 16,000 square meters, the Zug Trade Fair is the largest autumn exhibition in Central Switzerland.

Organizing and managing the approximately 350 exhibitors is complex and was extremely labor-intensive in the past. With the profairs event management software, many processes have been simplified or even automated. Exhibitors now have access to the profairs system, where they can directly book booths, infrastructure, and now also tickets, promo codes, and exhibitor passes.

Linking third-party software to the TICKETINO cockpit via REST API

Ticket sales for Zuger Messe are handled by the TICKETINO ticket shop and the TICKETINO box office. This has the advantage that all data is collected in one database, no quotas need to be reconciled, and all tickets can be checked using the same system.


As is customary at trade fairs, a considerable proportion of tickets for Zuger Messe are also distributed by exhibitors. Until now, these tickets or promo codes were created manually in the TICKETINO Cockpit and distributed to exhibitors by hand. The linking of the profairs and TICKETINO systems now simplifies this process enormously, as exhibitors can now easily and conveniently obtain their TICKETINO tickets, vouchers, promo codes, etc. themselves via the exhibitor area of profairs and download them in various formats or have them sent to them as a printed version.

Purchasing tickets and passes


Exhibitors can purchase various admission products via the profairs exhibitor area. Whether it's multi-scan exhibitor passes or customer vouchers, all tickets purchased via profairs are generated in the TICKETINO system and transmitted to profairs via REST API (interface). This eliminates the need for manual reconciliation of quotas, and these tickets also have a QR code that can be checked with the TICKETINO ScanApp. The data flows in both directions, if desired. For example, exhibitors can see in the profairs exhibitor area whether and when the person they invited attended the event.

Obtaining promotional codes

Just like access products, exhibitors can also obtain TICKETINO promo codes via profairs. To do this, promotions are created in the TICKETINO cockpit and made available to exhibitors in profairs. Promo codes obtained via profairs can then be redeemed as normal in the TICKETINO ticket shop or at the box office.

Different formats

Both tickets and promo codes can be obtained in a variety of ways. Popular options include Print@Home tickets, printed paper tickets, printed flyers with promo codes, and Excel files with ticket codes or promo codes for sending via mailing tools or for mass printing by the exhibitor themselves.

Billing via profairs

If exhibitors have to pay for promotional codes or tickets for the trade fair, this can be done directly via profairs. Exhibitors will then receive an invoice that includes stand fees, infrastructure costs, etc., as well as items for tickets and/or promotional codes.
