Review of the 2022 financial year

After the first quarter of 2022, which was rather weak due to the spread of the coronavirus variant Omikron, the density of events increased significantly in the second quarter. In the third and fourth quarters, TICKETINO once again achieved results on a par with those before the pandemic. Revenue increased by 36 % compared to 2021, while the transaction volume at the end of the year was still around 20 % below the pre-pandemic level in 2019.

Record numbers of tickets were sold for public events with advance ticket sales in Q3 and Q4. Many major events were successfully realised in the area of trade fairs, congresses and business events. The performance of the cloud-based TICKETINO platform, the versatile promotional code solutions and the newly developed box office system with integrated electronic payment terminals were of great importance here. In the trade fair sector, the TICKETINO system was introduced to the market as a fully comprehensive exhibitor management and ticket distribution system with a promotional code function thanks to the interface to profairs.de. In contrast to leisure events, the business events and congresses segment has only partially recovered compared to pre-pandemic times and is still lagging behind the 2019 result.

Thanks to the great commitment and flexibility of our employees, TICKETINO was able to level out costs in the first four months of the year, primarily through short-time working and compensation. From month five onwards, we returned to normality.

In 2022, TICKETINO was able to significantly improve its usual level of service to end customers and event organisers. We were able to meet our objectives of distinguishing ourselves as an independent ticketing provider with the best service for event organisers to a large extent. In addition to a good service, event organisers benefited from the numerous functions of the self-service ticketing solution at fair conditions. Event organisers make use of TICKETINO's expanded promotional opportunities so that they can sell even more tickets.

Another milestone for event organisers results from the new option of developing their own "white label" shop and docking it to the TICKETINO system via the Rest interface. This means that individual, customised shop "front ends" can be programmed with correspondingly little effort. Thanks to the new Rest interface, this is no problem for agencies. Event organisers benefit from the CI/CD-adapted solutions and the dynamic, fully automated handling of business processes. They save a lot of time and money and can concentrate on what is important at the event.

In 2023, we want to continue on our growth path and make a name for ourselves as the best self-service ticket sales and marketing platform with fair conditions. We will continue to strive to prove ourselves as service world champions so that event organisers have fun and enjoy ticket sales.

We look forward to numerous contacts with organisers and interested event visitors. The TICKETINO team is highly motivated and we look forward to hearing from you.
