Review of the 2023 financial year

The recovery in the event market that emerged in the second half of 2022 continued in 2023. The core business "Ticketing" already recorded good results in the first quarter and solid growth over the rest of the financial year. The "Guest Management" business segment followed suit in Q2 and Q3. Overall, gross sales increased by a good 16% compared to the previous year and a return on sales of 10% was achieved.

TICKETINO once again gained market share in the 2023 financial year. The core team has raised its profile and significantly improved its performance. Customer satisfaction is high and the company's positioning as a top service provider offering fair conditions is winning over a growing number of event organisers.

 


The self-service ticketing platform was also further developed and optimised in 2023. The improved and streamlined user guidance of the cockpit enables even faster and more intuitive event registration and helps event organisers have even more fun using the TICKETINO system.

 


Development highlights in 2023 include the customisable shop plugin, the improved API, the extended webhook functionality, the addition of Google Pay & Apple Pay payment methods, the extended query module at ticket level and the interface to RailAway. The latter makes it possible to additionally offer tickets via the SBB channel and thus reach more potential customers. Further software updates such as the ScanApp V3, the self-service seating plan module and the module for the independent creation of complex registration forms are about to go live.

 

Event organisers benefit from the newly created possibilities and integrate ticket sales independently via the configurable shop plugin on their website. External agencies create customised shop front-ends and connect them to the TICKETINO system via the residual interface. The first customers are already using webhooks for sometimes complex marketing automation processes by connecting third-party systems such as newsletter tools, CRM systems and much more via Zapier.

 


The declared goal for 2024 is to gain further market share in the DACH region, increase efficiency and thus guarantee a consistently high level of service with increasing profitability, even with a disproportionately low expansion of the team.
